The project's primary objective was to harness the energy potential of the Sabha Khola river, situated in the picturesque Sankhuwasabha region. To achieve this, a comprehensive and detailed engineering design was carried out.

The design phase involved the development of a comprehensive blueprint for the entire project. This encompassed the layout and specifications for key components such as the intake structure, diversion channel, powerhouse, and transmission lines. The intake structure was designed to efficiently capture water from the river, while the diversion channel ensured a steady flow of water towards the powerhouse.

One of the critical aspects of the detailed engineering design was the selection and sizing of turbines and generators to maximize energy output. Additionally, the design considered environmental and geological factors unique to the region, ensuring that the project adhered to environmental regulations and was resilient to local conditions.

The transmission lines, designed during this phase, were essential for transmitting the generated electricity to the grid, ensuring that the power could be distributed and utilized effectively.
